AIDS: Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome AIDSVAX®: The trade name for all formulations of VaxGen’s vaccine. AIDSVAX is made by cloning a protein from the surface of HIV called gp120. AIDSVAX DESCRIPTION AIDSVAX® is the trade name for all formulations of VaxGen's preventive HIV/AIDS vaccine.
